Professional Dog Walking in Biggleswade & Surrounding Villages
Solo walks with one-to-one attention, straight from your own front door β from a fully insured, DBS-checked walker caring for local dogs since 2010.
Some dogs love company, but every dog loves attention. That is why every Smiley Pets walk is a solo walk: your dog β or up to three dogs from the same household β walked on their own, never pooled into a pack with dogs they have never met. It is a simple promise, and it has been at the heart of how we have worked since 2010.
We walk straight from your own front door and back again. There is no van, no crates and no long pick-up round β just a proper walk on the routes your dog knows and loves. Based in Biggleswade, we also walk dogs in Sandy, Stotfold and the surrounding villages, including Upper Caldecote, Northill and Ickwell.
Whether you need a regular midday leg-stretch while you are at work, a hand on busy weeks or a longer outing for a high-energy dog, we would love to meet you both β every new client starts with a free meet & greet.
Why solo walks?
Plenty of dog walkers offer group walks, collecting four, five or even six dogs from different homes and exercising them together. It keeps their costs down, but it is rarely the best deal for the dogs. Our view β and the reason Smiley Pets has only ever offered solo walks β is that your dog deserves their walker's full attention.
On a solo walk there is no jostling pack, no nervous dog being hurried along by a boisterous one, and no time lost collecting and dropping off other people's pets. Your dog sets the pace, enjoys one-to-one focus from start to finish, and we get to know their quirks properly β which makes every walk calmer, safer and far more enjoyable. If you are comparing walkers, our guide to how many dogs a dog walker should walk explains exactly what to ask.
Solo never means lonely, either. If you have more than one dog, up to three dogs from the same household can walk together β they are already firm friends, after all.
Walked from your home β never a van
Every walk starts and ends at your own front door. We have never used a vehicle to transport dogs to a walk location, and we never will β no van rides, no shared cages and no being driven around while other dogs are dropped off.
Walking from home keeps your dog relaxed and on familiar ground, and it means the time you book is spent walking, not travelling. It is better for your home security too: our vehicle is deliberately unmarked, so nothing parked outside your house advertises that you are away or that a dog is home alone.
The one exception we will always make is a genuine emergency β we carry full insurance and have safety measures in place should a dog ever need transporting to a veterinarian.
Walk options for every dog
No two dogs need the same walk, so ours come in every size β from a five-minute pop-in to a 90-minute adventure.
Pop-ins and 15-minute visits are ideal for puppies who are not yet ready for long outings β our guide to when puppies can go for walks explains why little legs need building up gently β as well as for older dogs and those recovering from illness or surgery. A 30-minute walk makes a lovely daily top-up, while the full hour β our most popular option β gives a proper midday outing to dogs whose owners are out at work. And for collies, spaniels and other live wires, a 90-minute walk takes the edge off even the bounciest of dogs.
Not sure what would suit? We will happily advise at your free meet & greet, and you can mix and match lengths across the week.
What is included in every walk
Whatever its length, every Smiley Pets walk comes with the same standard of care.
We top up the water bowl before we leave, towel-dry wet or muddy dogs after a rainy outing and send you an update afterwards, so you always know how the walk went. Liz is canine first aid certified as well as fully insured and DBS checked, and your house keys are stored tagged with a code β never your name or address.
It is this attention to detail that has earned us a 5-star Google rating, and kept some of our dogs walking with us for over sixteen years.

Dog Walking FAQs
It means the only dog on the walk is yours. We never combine dogs from different households, so your dog is never pooled into a group with dogs they do not know. If you have two or three dogs at home they can of course walk together β a third dog from the same household simply adds Β£6 to the walk price.
Yes β midday walks for working owners are our most-booked service, and a 60-minute walk breaks up the day perfectly for a dog who would otherwise be home alone. If you are wondering what is reasonable for your dog, our guide to how long you can leave a dog alone is a good place to start.
Almost always β most dogs could not care less about a bit of rain, and we towel-dry them before we leave. Plans only change in conditions that would be genuinely unsafe, such as extreme heat, and we will always agree any changes with you in advance. You can read more in our FAQs.
It starts with a free, no-obligation meet & greet: get in touch β WhatsApp is the quickest way β and we will arrange a time to meet you and your dog and learn their routine. After that, booking is as easy as sending a message. And if plans change, walks cancelled by 8pm the day before carry no charge.

βLiz has been my dog walker (and occasionally chicken, tortoise and plant carer!) for 16 years and I canβt recommend her highly enough. She is utterly reliable and has never once let us down (whatever the weather!). Sheβs completely trustworthy and lovely with our dogs who adore her. Her business model means that our dogs are completely safe, cared for and fully under her control. I trust her completely.β
